Xanthophyll
Xanthophyll ist ein Carotinoid mit der Summenformel C₄₀H₅₆O₂ und einem Molekulargewicht von 568.87 g/mol. Es ist ein gelbes Pigment in Pflanzen, das in der Photosynthese eine Rolle spielt und als Antioxidans wirkt. Xanthophyll kommt in einer Konzentration von etwa 0.001% in Blattgewebe vor.
